Kotlin workshop for developers goals: In May 2017, Google announced that the Kotlin language would become an “official language” for Android application development, along with Java, which has been the main development language since the beginning of Android. This means that the language will be fully supported in the official development environment – Android Studio, and will be officially documented according to all modern standards. Due to its obvious capabilities and perfect fit for Android, it’s expected that many Android developers will migrate most of their development to Kotlin. In this workshop we will cover the main concepts of the language, its characteristics and the way it can be used in Android.
